Amy BamfordLead Research Nurse
Amy Bamford completed her nurse training in 2000. She worked in various acute hospital trusts until she joined UHB in 2004 as a trauma sister. In 2009 Amy began her research career working in burns research.
Over the next eight years, she developed her knowledge and passion for research until she undertook the role of Senior Research Sister for the SRMRC team. This role included the management of the nursing team which delivers an extensive portfolio of studies across multiple specialties including critical care, burns and trauma.
In 2019 Amy became a lead nurse for research. She is responsible for leading research teams across UHB sites, ensuring that high-quality research is delivered to patients across multiple specialties.
