Prehabilitation is the process of getting ready for cancer treatment before it starts. It focuses on three areas of your health:
- what you are eating and your weight
- physical activity or exercise
- mental wellbeing
Stopping smoking and cutting down on alcohol can also help. It helps while you are having treatment, with your recovery, as well as improving your overall health.
