Our services are open to all patients, staff and visitors.

Please note that Religious, Spiritual & Pastoral support is available by request for all faiths & beliefs including those with no religious belief or affiliation.

Roman Catholic Mass

Queen Elizabeth Hospital

  • Every Sunday, from 16:00
  • Every Tuesday, from 12:15

Heartlands Hospital

  • Every Sunday, from 14:00
  • Every Monday, from 13:00 

Sacraments at the bedside including Holy Communion, Anointing and Confession as well as Prayers and Blessings are available upon request across all sites.

Church of England and Free Church Midweek Holy Communion Service

Queen Elizabeth Hospital

  • Every Wednesday, from 12:15

Heartlands Hospital

  • Every Wednesday, from 13:00

Good Hope Hospital

  • Every Tuesday, from 13:00

Bedside Holy Communion, Prayers and Blessing available upon request across all sites.

Islam and Friday Prayer

There are prayer rooms open in the faith centres throughout the week across the sites.

Due to change in prayer times throughout the year, please contact chaplaincy for Friday Jum’ah times at our hospitals.

Bedside religious and pastoral care is available from our Muslim Chaplains upon request.

Every Friday:

  • first Prayer, 12:30
  • second Prayer, 13:00
  • third Prayer,  13:30

Good Hope Hospital

  • Friday Prayer, from 13:30

Hindu and Sikh provisions

Japa (mantra chanting) and Prathana (Hindu prayers) are available upon request at patient bedside and in the faith centre.

Ardas and meditation (prayers)

Ardas and meditation is available upon request at patient bedside and in the faith centre.

Quiet Spaces (available to all patients, staff and visitors)

We have the availability of quiet rooms, if you’d like to use for quiet reflection or personal meditation. Please get in touch for more information.
