The Clinical Photography department provides photographic and video services to all specialities across all sites across University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB). We have photographic studios located at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Heartlands Hospital and Solihull Hospital, where we are able to see outpatients. We also visit wards, clinics and theatres at the request of clinicians when clinical photography is required.
Our photographs help to support patient care by providing an accurate, standardised, objective record as well as being used for teaching staff and students. Clinical images can be requested as part of a publication, providing the relevant consent is obtained by the requester.
We also provide a range of specialist imaging including:
- mole screening
- ophthalmic imaging
- non-clinical PR photography
- 3D photography
