Liver disease is very good at hiding. We're better at finding it.
Each year over 12,000 people per year are diagnosed with liver disease. Three-quarters of people are being diagnosed when it is too late for effective treatment or intervention.
It can occur due to viral infections, diabetes, obesity, alcohol consumption and various other conditions.
At early and reversible stages, it tends to be silent and does not cause any symptoms.
We want to change the story of liver disease from one of late diagnosis to one of early action, giving more people the chance of a healthier future.
