At UHB we are very proud of providing a Preterm Prevention Clinic and treatment options. This specialist clinic based at Heartlands Hospital is dedicated to preventing preterm birth and providing support and treatment options for women. Through our clinic, we work with women at high risk of preterm birth to give them the best possible chance of a healthy pregnancy.
Some of the treatment options we offer are:
- Cervical cerclage (stitch on the neck of the womb)
- Progesterone pessaries
