The Children’s Safeguarding team are nurses with an expertise in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children.
They support the doctors and nurses when they have worries about a child or family who may need further support. They work alongside external teams such as social workers within a family’s local authority, health visitors, designated safeguarding leads in schools, GP’s and the police.
They provide our staff with knowledge around what support is available to our families and ensure our families get the opportunity to get the right help at the right time.
They aid communication between relevant agencies to ensure a child’s records are up to date and any concerns are shared.
They are a supportive and approachable team who will be on hand to ensure families get the right support required.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child please speak to your allocated nurse who can request further support from us.
