Unified Paediatric Advice and Guidance Service (UPAGS)

The Urgent Paediatric Advice and Guidance Service (UPAGS) is a telephone service that GP’s and other health care worker can access Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00. Your GP or health care worker will receive advice from a Paediatric Consultant for any patients they are concerned about.

The aim of the service is to ensure patients and families receive care closer to home and any referrals to hospital services are directed to the right service first time. We know this is beneficial for patients and families who want to receive the right care in a timely manner.

This service is not open to the public, the reason we are advising you about this is for awareness of the service and you may choose to prompt your GP or health care worker to contact UPAGS if they concerned about your child and need additional advice.
