This assay is run throughout the day and night. The in-lab turnaround time is normally less than 24 hours.

Reference range

Neonates (≤28 days): 0.9 – 2.5 mmol/L Infants & Children (>28 days – <19 years): 1.0 – 2.2 mmol/L Adults (≥19 years): 1.1 – 2.4 mmol/L (Source: Leen et al. PLOS One 2012)

Clinical guidance
