Clinical guidance

Triglycerides form part of the standard lipid panel in blood, which also includes cholesterol, HDL, non-HDL and LDL. Excess triglycerides in plasma is called hypertriglyceridemia, which is linked to the occurrence of coronary artery disease in some people. Elevated triglycerides may be a consequence of other disease, such as untreated diabetes mellitus. Please refer to LabTestsOnlineUK to learn more about triglycerides. https://labtestsonline.org.uk/tests/triglycerides
