Project milestones for the new UTC at Good Hope Hospital

The planned works will include the delivery of a new 513 m² modular building, realignment of the existing access road, removal and replacement of some non-protected trees, and relocation of ambulance parking bays.

The proposed development is located on land in the southwest of the hospital site, currently serving as the ambulance parking area for the Emergency Department.

Project milestones

1. Capital funding awarded

   Good Hope Hospital awarded £8.568 million in NHS England capital funding to build a new urgent care triage facility co‑located within the Emergency Department in late 2025.

2. Stakeholder engagement completed

   Stakeholder engagement events held in January 2026.

3. Planning application submitted

   Submitted in January 2026.

4. Enabling works started

   Spring 2026.

5. Final approval

   Expected June 2026.
