Discover how technology is transforming diabetes care at free Heartlands health talk

With around one in 10 people in Birmingham living with diabetes, local people are invited to learn more about the disease and the latest advances in diabetes care at a free health talk at Heartlands Hospital.

Dr Srikanth Bellary, Honorary Consultant in Diabetes at Heartlands Hospital, will present ‘From prevention to treatment – how technology is transforming diabetes care’ on Wednesday 11 June. The session will cover the latest research activity within the hospital, explain how members of the public can get involved, and provide practical advice about diabetes prevention and management.

Dr Bellary said: “Birmingham has one of the highest rates of diabetes in the country, so it is important for us to work with the community to advise on how diabetes can be prevented and effectively managed.

“This talk is a unique opportunity to hear about the latest technological innovations in diabetes care, learn how research in our hospital is making a difference, and discover how you can be part of that journey.”

This in-person session will be on Wednesday 11 June at 12pm in Heartlands Hospital’s Education Centre.
