Good Hope Hospital recently teamed up with Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council to deliver a free women’s health talk for the public.

The event, called ‘A journey through women’s health – fertility, menopause and beyond’, featured two leading UHB clinicians: Dr Liz Howland, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and UHB Deputy Chief Medical Officer, and Dr Pratima Gupta, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Medical Director at Solihull Hospital and Community Services.

It is one of a number of talks the hospital is delivering in collaboration with the council.

Dr Howland explored fertility and pre‑pregnancy optimisation, offering evidence‑based advice for those planning a family. Dr Gupta discussed menopause, acute symptoms, long‑term health impacts and lifestyle changes that can support wellbeing after menopause.

The talk, held at the Trinity Centre in Sutton Coldfield, drew a strong attendance of more than 40 people from the local community who were able to ask the speakers any questions in an open and supportive environment.
