Good Hope Hospital
Adult blood tests take place in the Outpatients department.
Blood clinics run Monday to Friday from 09:00 – 16:45.
Heartlands Hospital
Adult patient blood tests take place in the Outpatients department.
Blood clinics run:
- Monday to Thursday from 08:30 – 16:45
- Friday from 08:30 – 16:15
Child/paediatric blood tests for patients aged 18 and under are available by appointment only. To book an appointment call:
The blood clinic is located next to Ward 14 and runs:
- Monday to Thursday from 08:30 – 16:30
- Friday from 08:30 – 16:00
Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham
Phlebotomy sessions are available by appointment only and take place in areas 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Outpatients department, which is located on the ground floor of the hospital.
Blood clinics are available by appointment only and run Monday to Friday from 08:30 – 17:30.
Blood test also take place at clinics in the Heritage Building and Morris House, which are both located on the QEHB site.
Solihull Hospital
All blood tests take place in the Blood Room, which is opposite the main Outpatients department.
Blood clinics run Monday to Friday from 08:00 – 16:45. Please note the blood clinic is closed on bank holidays.
Offsite blood testing
University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) is currently providing blood test services at local offsite locations. This allows patients the option, if it is more convenient, of attending blood test appointments at a location outside of the Trust’s hospitals.
Patients will be notified if they are able to access blood test services at an alternative offsite location when they are contacted by a member of staff at UHB to arrange their appointment.
There will still be the option for patients to attend Good Hope, Heartlands, Queen Elizabeth or Solihull for blood tests.
