Rheumatology patients advice-line

Solihull, Heartlands and Good Hope Hospitals has a dedicated rheumatology telephone advice-line for patients under our care.

Please leave a clear message including:

  • Your full name
  • Date of birth
  • Hospital or NHS Number, if available
  • A contact telephone number
  • A brief description of your query or concern

A member of the rheumatology team will review your message and aim to respond within 48 hours. The help line is monitored Monday to Friday, 9.00am–3.30pm, excluding weekends and bank holidays.

Please note, the helpline is not an emergency service, this service is for flare-ups, medication queries, and prescription-related concerns only.

Call your GP, NHS 111 or go to the Accident & Emergency Department if you require immediate care.

Prescriptions

Ensure you have a minimum of two weeks of medication remaining before requesting your repeat medication and please request any repeat medication in good time to allow for processing. If you are required to have blood tests done before your next prescription is issued, please ensure that these are done at least 14 days before you request your medication.

Administrative queries

If your query is concerning an appointment request, letters, investigation results or referrals, the medical secretaries can be contacted via telephone or email
