Living our values: UHB’s Behavioural Framework

Our Behavioural Framework was developed in collaboration with thousands of colleagues across the organisation. Why? Because how we behave at work matters.

Together, we identified behaviours that reflect our values of ‘Kind’, ‘Connected’ and ‘Bold’ - behaviours we hope to show and experience whilst at work. Our framework also highlights behaviours that are not acceptable in our workplace.

Colleagues are encouraged to use the framework as a guide that can help support positive working relationships and ensure we all work in a safe and respectful work environment.

‘How We Behave Matters’ training

All colleagues with people management responsibilities should attend our ‘How We Behave Matters’ training, which runs across the four hospital sites.

The half-day training workshops are designed to support colleagues to understand the behavioural expectations of our leaders, reflect on our own behaviours and provide you with tools to have conversations about behaviours in a constructive way.

‘Our UHB Values and Behaviours’ awareness sessions

We have launched a series of online awareness sessions, called 'Our UHB Values and Behaviours'.

These sessions are open to all colleagues, working in any role, at any level and will give colleagues a short, practical space to explore what our values look like in everyday moments. They will also help colleagues understand the impact of our behaviours, how we can support each other better, and how we can confidently speak up when we see or experience unacceptable behaviours.

Dates are currently available via easylearning, with more dates to follow. Colleagues only need to attend one session.
