The Institute of Translational Medicine (ITM) is a new world class clinical research facility in Birmingham, led by Birmingham Health Partners (BHP).
The ITM will speed up the rate at which research can improve patient treatments and outcomes by using a multi-disciplinary, highly-collaborative approach that will include all components of the bench-to-bedside pathway. It will facilitate the rapid and cost-effective assessment of new drugs, medical devices and diagnostics to quickly bring them to market and front line clinical use.
The centre will also help progress the very latest scientific research findings from the University into enhanced treatments for patients across a range of major health issues including cancer and liver disease.
