Podiatric surgery is the surgical treatment of the foot and its associated structures. It is undertaken by podiatric surgeons and can be safely carried out under local anaesthetic either with or without sedation. We specialise in day case elective foot surgery.
You will be provided with extensive information at every stage of your journey, allowing you to make an informed decision concerning your treatment options.
Your treatment will be based on clinical need and you will be over 14 years of age. Surgery will not be the first option considered but will be available if non-surgical options have failed. Our outpatient clinics run throughout the week and operating sessions are usually on Tuesday and Wednesday.
We are based at Chelmsley Wood Primary Care Centre where there is free parking for patients.
We have a reputation for quality and reliability in day-case foot surgery.Your podiatric surgeon will retain overall clinical responsibility for your case working with a range of team members with expertise in health and social care. We attempt to fully inform you to be self aware and self reliant about your foot health and make fully informed choices about your treatment. You will be given written information on what to do post operatively, how to manage pain control, exercises and use of crutches, if required.
